Police Officer Shot In Bourne, Bomb Squad On Scene For “Hoax” Devices

bourne officer shot

Boston.com – The officer was shot after police responded to a call at a residence on Round House Road in Bourne at 2:15 a.m.

State police said in addition to the officer who was shot, violence was committed against two victims inside the home.

A male suspect was taken into custody.

There is no word yet on the condition of any of the victims.

A medical helicopter took off from the location destined for a Boston hospital, according to an Associated Press report.

The State Police Bomb Squad was on-scene to examine suspicious items allegedly placed near the crime scene by the suspect. Those items are suspected of being hoax devices, according to police.

What the hell? This shit isn’t supposed to happen on Cape Cod. Let’s all hope the officer is OK and that the bomb squad was an unnecessary precaution. Bourne police are asking anyone near Roundhouse Road to stay in their homes until further notice. Stay safe out there Bourne.

The Real Cape Codcast #2 Featuring Lenny Clarke, Dave Russo and Christine Hurley

We can’t thank Lenny, Dave and Christine enough for taking the time to sit down with us at The Beach House for our second podcast. They could not have been more gracious and holy shit are they funny. Lenny came out firing on all cylinders and kept his foot on the gas the entire time. Make sure to catch his stand up the next time we have him here on the Cape, the man is painfully funny.

P.S. If you get offended by language or non PC comedy we highly suggest you don’t press play.

There’s Going To Be Live Wolf Shows On Cape Cod To “Educate” The Public

wolf

WL – The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History in Brewster will host Michael LeBlanc and the Ambassador Wolf for two shows on Monday, Feb. 16, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

LeBlanc has been educating the public about wolves since 1978. He’ll have a wolf with him!

Admission is $10 for museum members, and $12 for non-members.

I’ve got a question. What kind of wolf ambassador, or whatever this guy is, travels around with a live wolf in a cage and charges people to gawk at it? That kinda falls into the “I love my girlfriend so much I have her chained up in my basement” category doesn’t it?

What “educating” is this guy doing about wolves exactly? Teaching people the best type of lock to use so they can’t escape while you’re exploiting them for profit? Nothing like breeding a culture of respect for such a wild and majestic animal by keeping it captive in a chain link box.

How Many People Has This Osterville Woman Tried To Hire To Kill Her Husband?

tricia

CapeCodOnline.com – An Osterville woman charged in connection with the 2013 shooting of her former husband has been released on $25,000 cash bail, a week after her attorney told ta Barnstable Superior Court judge she was out of money.

Tricia A. Lasher, 45, left the Barnstable County Correctional Facility on Monday, a week after her arraignment on charges of armed assault with intent to murder and aggravated assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Lasher was arraigned the same day her boyfriend, Buddy Bothwell, 36, of Sandwich, was sentenced to 10 to 12 years in state prison for trying to kill Lasher’s husband by shooting him in the back of the head. Barnstable Superior Court Judge Gary Nickerson also placed Bothwell on probation for 10 years, beginning with his prison sentence.

In October, Lasher pleaded not guilty to charges she hired another man to kill her former husband. There is no connection between that man and Bothwell, according to police.

Holy crap they let this lady out? How many times do you need to try to hire someone to kill your husband before they hold you in jail? Seems like we’re writing about this chick getting bailed out every month or so.

On the bright side there can’t be any hit men left in Osterville for her to hire at this point can there? I’d imagine that killers for hire on Cape Cod are a pretty tight knit community and word must have spread by now not to take any jobs from the lovely Tricia. She doesn’t seem to have the highest success rate.

Either way if I’m her husband, the second she was released I’m catching air over the Bourne Bridge I’m driving so fast off this peninsula. You know what they say, hire someone to kill me once, shame on you, hire someone to kill me twice, shame on me. Hire someone to kill me three times and it’s time to get plastic surgery and change my identity.

P.S. To all you single guys out there, if you see this woman pop up on Tinder, SWIPE LEFT!

Hey Martha’s Vineyard Quahogs, Who’s Your Daddy?

The Real Cape masters the art of bivalve foreplay…

MVShellfish Group2

The Real Cape took a little trip to Martha’s Vineyard the other day. I’m not one to brag but we were better than Wilt Chamberlain when it comes to daddying illegitimate children. By the time we were done we had fathered millions of shellfish. I had to take some penicillin as a pre emptive strike against red tide.
