A reader sent in these photos and we are stumped. Is it Cape Codhenge? A shipwreck? A Megalodon carcass? Whatever it is I hope the sand covers it back up soon… out of sight, out of mind.

Gee,it looks a lot like an old shipwreck. ;D
Seriously? Do you know how many ships went down off that section of the Cape?
Isnt it stone tho?
The old salt in the family said it may have been ballast for an old ship.
That thing is either an old ship wreck or an old memorial of a ship wreck. Some wood turns to stone under the right conditions with enough time. And why does this writer/ journalist want it to go away so quickly. The cape is full of history, that's half the reason people come here to vacation and spend their money. We need attractions like that to keep revenue up so locals won't have it so hard in the winters
not even close….

That's wicked kool too. And still an attraction for tourists to come see. I hope it doesn't get covered before I can go see it!
I bet it barrels!!
Thank You Very Much!
